Just extracting the carpets will not remedy the problem. Most of the time, the water or other liquid has penetrated the padding underneath the carpet. When this happens, it is almost impossible to do a correct job without pulling up the carpet and padding. An inspection then will determine if the padding will need to be replaced. The floor pans will also be cleaned, dried, and treated to kill any bacteria, mold, or mildew. We do it the right way the first time. Only extracting the water through the carpet will leave the underneath wet and prone to mold.
